The Laboratory is a city facility which allows the player to apply small enhancements their armor, weapons, and equipment. This process is referred to as "enchanting."
At the Laboratory, players may enchant their equipment by combining it with Enchant Cards and paying an SPI fee. For each consecutive enchantment, the total number of enchantments applied to the equipment (regardless of enchantment type) will be displayed on the armor's icon (ex. Enchant:3).
Players may safely enchant weapons and armor up to 5 times ("E5"); however, enchanting the weapon or armor past E5 risks destroying it in the process.
Players may also enchant other equipment, such as engines,radars, and CPUs; however, there is a risk of destroying the equipment even on the first enchant.
